About the author

I was born in Córdoba, Argentina, on a Wednesday, January 16, 1985.

Although drawing is something that has always been present in my family, I do not consider myself a cartoonist, illustrator, or cartoonist. I lack technique, I don’t have much pulse in my hand, and at school I did a year or two of drawing and very, very few classes in visual arts. The opportunities have always been there. My dad, who was known as ‘Chidoro’ in his childhood, and later as ‘El Gallego,’ always drew very well. My sisters and brothers, and my nieces later, we all learned with him.

Perhaps, over time, practice will make talent. For now, I rather to call myself someone who tells anecdotes or summarizes some absurd situation with drawings based on paper, pencil, and a rubber eraser (and pens, markers, watercolours, … and Photoshop).

By profession I am rather a historian and researcher in political and social sciences, with an interest in international development and social justice. Besides drawing, I like writing. I love science fiction and crime novels, I like soccer, chess, and aikido, and I am passionate about traveling. I am a nostalgic who gets hooked, in time and space, with the stories of ordinary things and people.
